About Jimmy Kirrane Msc MCSP SRP BSc (Hons)

Chartered Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist and Sports Scientist

Jimmy is a Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP) and member of the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC), Massage Therapist and Sports Scientist who works at the Back2Fitness within our Dalkieth Road clinic, His Philosophy is to treat patients as individuals and therefore gaining better results.

Jimmy has experiance working in an array of settings both within sport and in public setting and and has knowledge not only as a Physiotherapist but also as a Sports Scientist having previously qualified in Ireland before moving Scotland to continue his studies (completing an MSc on Physiotherapy at The Robert Gordon University) and progress his career.

Jimmy also works within the National Health Service as well as working with many sports teams including Hockey, Rugby and Football. Whatever the environment, Jimmy prides himself on developing a partnership with his clients and working with them to ensure their goals are achieved.

He has always been involved in Sport from a young age and competed in a range of sports including GAA, football and golf. He has suffered a from injuries in the past and as a result can relate to athletes and clients who’s daily life is impacted by injury. He currently cycles, runs and continues to play GAA.

Having experience of requirements of both individual and team sports allows him to design relevant and specific programs for each individual needs has a special clinical interest in Musculoskeletal injuries and promoting the independence of his clients through individualised assessment and treatment. A philosophy of empowering patients in their treatments, that is the Philosophy at Back2Fitness.

Jimmy also works as a massage therapist regularly at a wide range of events and competitions and in his spare time enjoys camping, cycling and hiking.
